Naomi H. Dassow, Of Mequon, was called home to our Lord on November 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 75. She was born on February 5, 1949 in Niles, Michigan, to her late parents Norman and Helen Koerwitz (nee Weyland). She was united in marriage with Richard F Dassow on April 21, 1979, at Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church. Together, their marriage was blessed with three children, Michael, Peter, and Ami.

Life Story. Naomi H. Dassow, Of Mequon, was called home to our Lord on November 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 75. Naomi studied at Wisconsin State University-Eau -Claire and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She soon realized her degree and used her gift of nursing to make a positive impact on the world near and far. Briefly teaching in Eau Claire’s Nursing Program, and a short time as a public Health nurse around Agusta, Wisconsin, she found a unique position at a rural health clinic in Buckhorn, Kentucky, working with local families in the hills of Appalachia. Service in Buckhorn, Kentucky (1974-1977) From 1973 to 1977, Naomi worked in Buckhorn, Kentucky, a region known for its rugged terrain and underserved population.
